Hi! i got a question about this case,
I need to buy a chassis and i am really interested by this one
Is it gonna be to tight for my geforce gtx 280 ? i saw that this chassis will fit a card no longer than 10.5 inch but the thing is that the Geforce gtx 280 is actually 10.5 inch ! normally it should fit by i'm affraid that it would be to tight ?
should i buy a armor chassis instead ?
Thank you very much in advance for the answer |

I got a second question to :
It's regarding the motherboard that can fit
For Element G it says
Mini ATX & Full ATX
But what about the Standard atx ? does it FIt ? logically if Mini & Full fit standard should be okay ?
I plan to buy a Gigabyte GA-GP45-UD3P and i think it's a Standard ATX size.....
Just by curiosity i check the element S which is supose to be the same inside and for the motherboard it says
Micro ATX & Standard ATX
i am a little confused
Thank you very much for your help cause if everything fit, i will buy this case for sure ! |

I think by "full" ATX they do mean standard vs mini. The only other commonly used tower form factor is EATX (Extended ATX), and that FF is only seen on full towers, not mid towers.
I like the Element S and much prefer the roomier CPU cooler width you get without the side fan. IMO if the Element S were about 2" taller it would be the ideal all around case. |

Great thanks mate !! And what about the 10.5 inch long video card ? Is it to tight for a chassis that fit a video card no longer than
10.5 inch ?? Or it would be fine ??? |

That part of the chassis is the same as the Element S. According to those whom have discussed it here and Thermaltake when I asked them, 10.5" cards would fit fine. The only thing TT said was if you turn the HDD cage to the front to back position you might have to use right angle cables if your VGA has it's power sockets on the end.
The only thing about this case I find a bit baffling is the option to use two 120mm front fans vs the big one it comes with. According to the reviews I've read, using two 120mm fans supposedly gives you stronger airflow.
I did the math and two 120mm fans is only 35 sq in of area vs 49 sq in on the 200mm fan. It kinda begs the question why the huge fans if they don't push as much air as two smaller ones that are of a common size you can find easily and at a good price?
Is the noise level the only reason? |
